5.4.1 Instructions on machine transport
Never touch the connection points of electro-
static sensitive devices!
Mounted components (e.g. temperature sensors, encoder) can contain
parts susceptible to electrical discharge (ESD).
Observe ESD safety measures.
Risk of injury and material damage due to im-
proper handling during transport!
● Only use lifting devices suited for the weight of the motors. Use lift-
ing sling belts or lifting eye bolts. Secure the lifting eye bolts before
use.
● Never walk under hanging loads.
● Never lift the motor on the shaft.
● Use suitable protective equipment and protective clothing during
transport, and wear safety shoes.

Before transporting the motor, determine the weight of the motor. For more
details about motor weight, please refer to the type plate or the project plan-
ning manual (Technical data).
● Adjust the carrying capacity of the lifting device to the motor weight.
