CAN error states
Signalling of a CAN error
In case of SW F, a faulty CAN bus is signalled by the blue LED at
the pump flashing. The LED flashes
at the following speeds:
- 300 ms on, 300 ms off
- 100 ms on, 100 ms off
- 100 ms on, 100 ms off
The process is then repeated.
The blue LED flashes in the following states:
Behaviour when an alarm occurs
If continuous flashing occurs at
the pump, the pump is fully op-
erational with the exception of communication-dependent
ther-
apies.
The following functions are no longer ava
ilable in this state:
- Signalling of the alarm states at the SpaceCover
- Data communication with SpaceCom (no documentation for
a P
DMS)
- Proposal data can no longer be received.
- In case of a defective address assignment, communication
w
ith HiBaSeD is not possible until after plugging into a slot
which is not defective. (In the case of duplicate serial number,
HiBaSeD can contact the pumps in order to carry out calibra-
tion, see Section 6)
- Future therapies, such as take-over, patient data, bar code
and remote control function, will not be available either.
Alarm Cause Fault Clearance
1 CAN lists for 2 seconds after pushing into
a Station
Check that the pump is pushed in cor-
rectly
2 CAN_Lists because of duplicate address
assignment
Duplicate address assignment This state remains active until another
d
evice is recognised with its own slot ad-
dress.
3 CAN dead because of duplicate INR Duplicate INR Eliminate the state by calibrating with
HiBaSeD. The device is still read
y for op-
eration but without CAN communication.
