GAS TIPS (1800GH)
COVER AND YOKE TIPS
COMPLAINT CAUSE REMEDY
Pilot burner won’t light
1. Gas valve OFF
2. Air in gas line
3. Gas shut-off valve OFF
4. Pilot burner flame too small
5. Gas pressure too high
1. Turn ON
2. Tighten
3. Replace
4. Adjust flame
5. Install pressure regulator
Main burner will not turn on
1. Gas valve not ON
2. Controller in program mode
3. No electrical power to the
gas valve
4. Faulty gas valve
1. Turn On
2. Exit program mode
3. Check circuit
4. Replace
COMPLAINT CAUSE REMEDY
Cover hard to CLOSE
1. O-ring groove and O-ring
dry or dirty
2. Hard O-ring
3. Teflon bearing out of
adjustment or worn
4. Cover not centered
5. Lifter box dirty or dry
1. Clean and lubricate
2. Replace
3. Adjust or replace
4. Center
5. Clean and lubricate
Cover won’t OPEN
Never use
force to
OPEN cover
1. O-ring groove and O-ring
dry or dirty
2. Pressure not released
3. Pressure regulating valve
out of adjustment
1. Clean and lubricate
2. OPEN pressure regulating
valve
3. Adjust valve
Cover hard to move from front
of the unit to the rear
1. Yoke bearings and slide rod
dirty
1. Clean
O-ring breaking
DO NOT rest

ring failure.
1. Dirty O-ring groove
