u Navigate to the action [Licence Request] action via the navigation path.
ð The display shows a dialog with the mandatory information needed for appli-
cation.
u Tap the button next to the information.
ð The display shows a dialog with an alphanumeric input box.
u Enter your data.
u Tap the button [OK].
ð The dialog box closes.
u After entering all mandatory data tap the button [Create].
u Confirm the secure question by tapping the button [OK].
ð The application file is created.
u Send the file to Buchi to apply for a licence.

5.6.2 Import Licence
NOTE
Installed demo license
Delete installed demo license before importing the permanent license.
4 Start the software [Windows Explorer] on the instrument.
4 Navigate to folder options via the following navigation path: View Folder Op-
tions View
4 Activate the function [Show hidden files, folders and drives].
4 Delete the demo license file from the following location: c:\ProgramData\BUCHI
\LicenseManager\Licences.

Precondition:
R The licence file is saved on the instrument.
u Navigate to the action [Licence Import] via the navigation path.
ð The display shows a dialog for choosing the folders on the instrument.
u Navigate to the saving folder of the licence you wish to import.
u Select the application.
u Tap the button [OK].
ð The instrument imports the licence.
5.6.3 Calibrating a Baseline Correction Vector (BCV)
The Baseline Correction Vector reduces the influence of the sample container or pre-
sentation method during measurement.
For routine sample presentation a BCV is calculated with the correct (matching) white
reference standard mounted on the correct spacer. For measurements of liquids the
BCV is calculated using an empty glass petri-dish and transflectance adapter.
NOTE
To ensure that the BCV is calculated correctly the white reference or sample presen-
tation should be rotated 5 times during the operation.
