13 Transport and handling
13.1 Transport preparations
For transport reasons the cartridges must be free of water
(lighter weight, risk of frost, etc.).
˳For emptying small cartridges you have to place them
upside down over a drain to empty them completely.

˳Please lay down large cartridges carefully until all the
water has drained off.
˳Put on the transport lock (1).

˳Lock the transport lock by turning the locking a quarter
turn to the right (2).
13.2 Packaging
The transport is carried out in the packaging provided
for this purpose:
NOTICE: The original BWT AQUA packaging is
functional and environmentally friendly.
˳ Keep the original packaging – in case of loss, you can
order it from BWT AQUA
˳Please observe the information signs
NOTE: Always empty the cartridge before transport.
NOTE: Protect from frost.
13.3 Storage and transport
CAUTION: Have the transport carried out by an
experienced courier or commission BWT AQUA
customer service.

13.4 Disposal
Procedure: The device, including electronics,
consists of various materials which need to be
disposed of properly.
Call BWT AQUA customer service for correct
and environmentally friendly end-of-life
decommissioning.
All electrical and electronic parts should only be
carried out at authorised WEEE recycling centres
(e.g. container for electrical waste).
