8 Flashing the firmware
To change or update the firmware installed on your display, you must use our CANchecked Updater.
You can find it on our website under Downloads MFD28/32/32S
(https://www.canchecked.de/downloads/mfd28-mfd32-mfd32s-mfa28-update-
softwareaktualisierung/). The updater is available for Windows and Mac.
ATTENTION: Windows 7 still requires a driver. This can also be found in the MFD28/32/32S
download area.
After unpacking and starting the updater, you should find the user interface shown in the image
below.

After inserting your display, your PC/Mac should recognize the display and automatically identify it as
an available device in the updater and display it as a serial USB device.

Before you can start updating your display, you need to download the appropriate firmware from our
website. In the download area you will always find the latest version for your display. Here you can
find the right firmware 6.26.2).
For your Gen2 data display, the firmware has the following format:
CANchecked_v4.XXX_[protocol].hex
By clicking on the corresponding firmware, you can download it to your PC/Mac.
