Regarding
Finalizing
Discs
• Always finalize a
disc
before inserting it into an external DVD device.
Precautions
Regarding
the
Handling
and
Storing
of
DVD
discs
The recording surface of
DVD
discs
is
extremely delicate. Ifhandled orstored
in
an
incorrect
manner,
the camcorder may stop recognizing
or may not be able
to
play back the disc. Be sure
to
observe the following precautions when storing/handling your discs.
Storage
• Always remove
the
disc
from
the
camcorder
after
you
finish recording.
• Do
not
store
the
camcorder
with
a
disc
left inside.
•
To
protect
the
disc, return in
to
its case
for
storage.
• Never
expose
the
disc
to
direct
sunlight and
do
not
store
it
in -places
subject
to
high
temperatures
or
high humidity.
• Do
not
expose
the
disc
to
extreme
temperature
changes.
Handling
• Do
not
bend,
scratch
or
wet
the
disc
and
do
not
subject
it
to
strong
shocks.
• Keep
the
disc
clean
of
dust,
dirt
or
smudges.

Notice
Regarding
the
Use
of
DVD-R
DL
Discs
When
using dual-layered discs, we recommend using Canon discs(DVD-R DL54) and Verbatim DVD-R DLdiscs.
The
use
ofotherdiscs,
whose performance
has
not
been
tested by Canon, may result
in
incorrect recording/playback, or
in
not being able to remove the disc.
