ALTERNATOR BELT AND AIR CONDITIONING
COMPRESSOR BELT
Service Interval
Alternator belt service interval ..................................................................... Check daily and replace every 1000 hours
Air conditioning compressor belt service interval ....................................................................... Check every 250 hours
Alternator Belt Check
Park the machine on a level surface and apply the 1.
parking brake.
Put the ignition key on the OFF position.2.
Remove the panel located behind the operator’s seat 3.
to inspect the drive belts. Measure the drive belt de-
ection between the pulleys. The maximum deection
permissible must be of 9,5 to 12,7 mm (3/8 to 1/2”).
Remove the drive belt using a 1/2” square socket 4.
wrench handle, to release belt tension.
NOTA: The panels behind the operator’s seat must be
removed in order to access the drive belts.

Drive Belt and Tensioner
Inspection
After removing, examine the belt for damage.
Drive Belt Tensioner
The drive belt tensioner pulley must rotate freely with no
point showing resistance, locking up, etc., when turned
by hand.
Check belt tensioner bearing carefully also.
Reinstalling the Drive Belt
Using a 1/2” socket wrench handle and the tensioner, ins-
tall the belt carefully, observing that the multi-V’s ribs t
perfectly with the existing channels of the alternator pulley
and vibration damper.
