Quick Start Basics
1. Press [ON/OFF] (Power) to turn on the camera.
The camera will enter the REC mode.
• If the camera is in the PLAY mode, press the shutter button.
2. Align the mode dial with [Ÿ] (Premium Auto Pro).

Description
Premium
Auto Pro
Configures optimal settings to match the shooting
environment and performs high-speed image
processing for better looking images. When shooting
against backlighting, at night, with zoom, and under
other difficult conditions, the camera will
automatically shoot a burst of images and combine
them into a final image.
• Compared with the standard Program Auto Mode
(page 42), the conditions below apply while
shooting with Premium Auto Pro.
– Shooting settings that can be changed are
limited.
– Battery life may be somewhat shorter.
