SETTINGS & TOOLS
2. Select one of the following settings, then press the Center Select
Key [OK].
Duration: Select 7 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or Always
Off, then press the Center Select Key [SET].
Brightness: Press the Directional Key = left or right to set the
brightness to Low, Medium Low, Medium, Medium High, or
High, then press the Center Select Key [SET].
Setting the External Display Backlight
To set the duration of backlight illumination for the external display:
1. From idle mode with the flip open, press the Center Select Key
[MENU], select Settings & Tools, then press the Center Select
Key [OK]. Press  Display Settings,  Backlight,  Display,
 External.
2. Select one of the following settings, then press the Center Select
Key [SET].
7 seconds / 15 seconds / 30 seconds
Setting the Keypad Backlight
To set the duration of backlight illumination for the QWERTY Keypad
(Internal) or the Alphanumeric Keypad (External):
1. From idle mode with the flip open, press the Center Select Key
[MENU], select Settings & Tools, then press the Center Select
Key [OK]. Press  Display Settings,  Backlight,  Keypad.
2. Press  Internal or  External.
3. Select one of the following settings, then press the Center Select
Key [SET].
7 seconds / 15 seconds / 30 seconds / Always On / Always Off
NOTE
If Always On or High are selected for the Backlight setting, the
battery life may be reduced.
