3.0 MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
3.1 INTRODUCTION
The maintenance procedures consist mainly of cleaning the equipment, tightening
connections and performing a periodic check of battery condition and system operation.
3.2 SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The Synthesis™ UPS is virtually maintenance free. Normal housekeeping cleanliness
should be observed. Louvers and grills should be dusted or vacuumed annually. The area
in front of the cabinet should be kept clean and dry.
3.3 BATTERY MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Wear protective goggles or safety glasses when handling batteries.
All battery connections should be checked annually to make sure they are tight and free of
contamination. Re-torque according to instructions printed on battery case. Tops of cases
should be kept free of dust.
3.4 TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
If the installation and operating instructions are followed carefully, you should encounter
no difficulty with the performance of the system. If the system cannot be made to perform
properly refer to Table D for the specific alarm status present. For further technical
