7.6: Insertion of the processor
ATTENTION: Components such as the processor may be permanently damaged by shocks arising from static
electricity. It is hence important to wear an antistatic bracelet during the installation process.
The processor can be inserted onto the
motherboard either prior or following its
installation in the chassis.
The processor is to be placed onto the motherboard
in its designated space while taking note of its
specific processor pin orientation.
Once correctly installed, the processor socket of
the motherboard contains a fixing lever that will
lock the positioning of the processor and its pins in
place.
The processor fan and heat sink module requires
installation thereafter.
