7.7: Installation of the optical drive module
Modular rails are made available with the chassis
for optical drive module installation.
These rails are to be fastened to the optical drive as
follows.
The optical drive module rails once fastened
allow for one of two types of modular
installation, tool-less and permanent installation
methods.
The optical drive then gets inserted into the chassis
from the front end of the chassis.
If a tool-less installation method is required then
the module will be snapped and inserted into the
chassis without being screwed on.
If a permanent installation is the method of choice,
the module is snapped in from the front end and
then screwed onto the chassis from the side.
