If you need to connect a host that operates at up to 10 Mbps to a FEX, you can connect the host to a Cisco
Nexus 2248TP-E FEX, which has large port buffers that enable it to work at the slower 10-Mbps speed. If
the 10-Mbps host that you are connecting cannot autonegotiate speeds, you must configure the host for 10
Mbps when connecting it to the Cisco Nexus 2248TP-E FEX.
Note
To comply with GR-1089 intrabuilding, lightning immunity requirements, you must use foil twisted-pair
(FTP) cable that is properly grounded at both ends.
