How to fix light-off problems with my CleaverBrooks Boiler?
    • P
      Paige SummersAug 1, 2025
If you're having light-off problems with your CleaverBrooks Boiler, check the following: * Ensure the gas supply pressure at the boiler gas valve inlet is sufficient during the trial for ignition; increase gas supply pressure to the boiler room if it's too low. * Verify that the manual gas valve located between the gas valve and venturi is open. * Check if the gas safety shut-off valve is opening; secure gas valve wiring connections and ensure the DIN connector is secured to the gas valve.

What to do if my CleaverBrooks CBT Boiler won't start with an active lockout/alarm?
    • A
      ashleyjarvisAug 5, 2025
If your CleaverBrooks Boiler won't start and shows an active lockout/alarm, and the low water condition occurred, but the water level in the sight glass now appears normal, check if the ALWCO control board LED is off. If it is, reset the ALWCO switch, clear the Falcon lockout, and then restart the boiler.

How to troubleshoot a CleaverBrooks Boiler that won't start with no lockout or alarm?
    • D
      Donna Wyatt DDSAug 9, 2025
If your CleaverBrooks Boiler won't start and there's no lockout or alarm, here are a few things to check: * Ensure the Touch Screen “Demand” status is set to LOCAL. * Verify the OLC setting is slightly above the Falcon setpoint + hysteresis OFF. * Confirm the start interlock proving switch is closed (if using a start interlock). * If you're not using a start interlock, make sure a jumper is wired between the start interlock terminals in the LCI circuit. * Check for and secure any loose wiring in the Falcon LCI circuit.

Why is my CleaverBrooks CBT showing Lockout 67 ILK OFF LOW GAS PRESSURE?
    • S
      Steven WardAug 14, 2025
If you're experiencing Lockout 67 ILK OFF LOW GAS PRESSURE with your CleaverBrooks Boiler, it could be due to insufficient gas supply pressure or a closed gas valve. Confirm the gas shut-off valve is open. Increase gas supply to the boiler room and/or boiler by increasing pressure out of regulator. Reset the Low Gas Pressure Switch (LGPS), clear the lockout on the Falcon, and restart. Also, check the Low Gas Pressure Switch (LGPS) setting -- it should be 50% of the gas supply pressure required.

What causes Lockout 67 ILK OFF HIGH LIMIT on a CleaverBrooks CBT Boiler?
    • M
      Mark MorrisAug 18, 2025
If your CleaverBrooks Boiler is showing a Lockout 67 ILK OFF HIGH LIMIT, it might be because the steam pressure exceeded the High Limit Control (HLC) set point. Adjust the HLC setting to be higher than both the OLC setting and the Falcon OFF point. After the pressure drops below the setting, reset the HLC, clear the Falcon lockout, and restart. Also, check the position of the steam stop valve and observe the steam pressure gauge reading; if the stop valve is closed, wait for the pressure to drop enough so the steam stop valve can be opened safely. Reset the HLC after the pressure drops below the setting, clear the Falcon lockout, and restart.

What to do if my CleaverBrooks CBT Boiler has flame failure?
    • A
      andrea30Aug 22, 2025
If your CleaverBrooks Boiler is experiencing flame failure, identify any potential adverse operating conditions at the time of the lockout (e.g. low fire or high fire) and remedy them. Also, poor combustion tuning can cause flame failure, so retune the combustion settings as necessary.

Why does the steam pressure drop too much when my CleaverBrooks Boiler is off?
    • X
      xhendersonAug 27, 2025
If the steam pressure drops too much when your CleaverBrooks Boiler is off, it could be because the Steam On point is too low. Set the Steam On hysteresis parameter to 0 (zero). Alternatively, the anti-short cycle time might be too long; reduce the anti-short cycle time parameter, or set it to 0 to disable this function. The Anti-short cycle setting is located in the "Steam Configuration" parameter group.
