Perform the following testing opera-
tions by using the (emergency) controls
placed on the turret when no one is
aboard:
o lifting and lowering of the tele-
scopic boom;
o lifting and lowering of the jib;
o clockwise and anticlockwise ro-
tation of the turret;
o extension and withdrawal of the
telescopic boom.
During the test operations, check
that the basket floors keeps a hori-
zontal position.
Check the functioning of the outrig-
gers block valves, keeping the boom
lifted:
o extend the outriggers and level
the MEWP;
o push the “EMERGENCY” button
to turn off the engine;
o operate the lever for the lifting
and lowering of the outriggers.
OUTRIGGERS SHALL NOT MOVE.
If the problem can
be solved following
the instructions
given in the para-
graph “Trouble
shooting”, perform
the operations indi-
cated in the said
paragraph.

If the prob-
lem is not solvable
following the in-
structions indicated
in the paragraph
“Troubleshooting”, it
is strictly forbidden
to use the MEWP.

o load the basket with 200 kg
(only weights);
During check, it is strictly forbid-
den to load the MEWP placing people
in the basket.

o operate the levers for the lifting
and lowering of the telescopic
boom;
