6. DIFFERENTIAL GEAR
6.1 STRUCTURE
The differential gear assembly is a mechanism to pro-
vide smooth steering.
It automatically provides different optimum torques to
the right and left wheels according to road resistance
and braking friction at the wheels.
The differential gear assembly is composed of the dif-
ferential case, differential pinions, differential side
gears, differential pinion shaft, spiral bevel gear, etc.
