Thermal Monitoring
The handpiece is equipped with an integrated temperature sensor and six LED temperature
indicators. The sensor measures the temperature of the target tissue, and the LEDs indicate the
measured temperature.
LEDs on the handpiece can be used to determine the average surface temperature of treated tis-
sue. Three colors of LEDs are used to indicate temperature. Each LED indicates a range of
4º C, moving from dim to full illumination over the temperature range. The following table
shows the temperature ranges associated with each LED:

NOTE
To obtain an accurate temperature reading, you must position the
working distance beam within the aiming beam.
