Section 3 - Conguration
IPv4 - L2TP
Choose Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) if your ISP uses a L2TP connection. Your ISP will provide you with a username and
password. Click Save at any time to save the changes you have made on this page.
L2TP Server: Enter the L2TP server's IP address provided by your ISP.
Username: Enter the username provided by your ISP.
Password: Enter the password provided by your ISP.
Reconnect Mode: Select either Always on, On Demand, or Manual.
Maximum Idle
Time:
Congurable when On Demand is selected. Enter a maximum idle
(in minutes) time for the Internet connection to be maintained during
inactivity. To disable this feature, select Always on or Manual as the
reconnect mode.
Advanced Settings...
Address Mode: Select Static IP if your ISP assigned you an IP address, subnet mask,
gateway, and DNS server addresses. In most cases, however, select
Dynamic IP.
If you select Dynamic IP as the Address Mode:
Primary DNS
Server:
Enter the primary DNS server's IP address assigned by your ISP. This
address is usually automatically obtained from your ISP.
Secondary DNS
Server:
Enter the secondary DNS server's IP address assigned by your ISP. This
address is usually automatically obtained from your ISP.
MTU: Maximum Transmission Unit (1280~1460) - you may need to
change the MTU for optimal performance with your ISP. The
default is 1400
