Turning On the System

Procedure
To start up the DEC 3000 Model 600/700 AXP system, perform
the steps in Table 6–1.
Table 6–1 Steps for Starting a Workstation
Step Description
1 Turn the monitor power switch to the on position (|).
2 Turn on the power switch to any other devices, including
any expansion box.
3 Turn the On/Off switch on the rear of the system unit to
the on (|) position, as shown in Figure 6–1.
Server Startup
Procedure
To start up the DEC 3000 Model 600S AXP system, perform the
steps in Table 6–2.
Table 6–2 Steps for Starting a Server
Step Description
1 Turn the On/Off switch of the terminal to the on (|)
position.
2 Turn on the power switch to any other devices, including
any expansion box.
3 Turn the On/Off switch on the rear of the system unit to
the on (|) position, as shown in Figure 6–1.
