4. All alarms are acknowledged during the Minimum down time for alarm 3. After the Minimum down time for alarm 3, the
horn output is activated for the Minimum up time, to complete the horn output for alarm 3.
5. The horn output is deactivated after the Minimum up time, since all alarms are acknowledged.
4.6.2 Silencing alarms
When the operator presses Horn silence on the display unit, the controller immediately deactivates all horn outputs. Horn
silence does NOT have any other effect on the alarm system. If a new alarm is activated after the push-button is pressed,
then the horn output restarts.

4.7 Non-essential loads
4.7.1 Single-line diagram
You can assign a non-essential load to a GENSET, EMERGENCY genset, SHAFT generator and/or SHORE connection controller.
You cannot assign a non-essential load to a BUS TIE breaker controller.
To add a non-essential load trip to the single-line diagram:
1. In PICUS, under Configure > Single-line, drag the NEL icon to the right place on the single-line
diagram.
The controller(s) for the NEL must be in the same section as the NEL.
2. Select the NEL on the single-line diagram, and, if necessary, change its NEL ID, NEL trip signal, New
NEL trip signal(s) and Label.
An NEL must have the same number in all the controller(s) that it is assigned to.
For example, if NEL 2 is assigned to DG 1, then that NEL is always NEL 2 in all the other
controllers that it is assigned to.
As long as they are in the same section, an NEL can be assigned to any or all of the available
controllers.
For example, NEL 1 could be assigned to 5 GENSET controllers.
If there is at least one controller with space for a new NEL, there can be more than one NEL 1,
NEL 2 and/or NEL 3 in a section.
