Installing a System-Board Assembly
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You
should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with
the product.
1 Slide the system-board assembly into the chassis until it snaps into
place. See Figure 3-9.
2 Reconnect all the external cables to the system board.
3 Replace the screw that secures the retaining latch. See Figure 3-9.
4 Turn on the system board by pressing the power button on the back
panel, and the attached peripherals.
NOTE: Contact technical support to add the service tag of the system board to
match the service tag of the physical node.
