1  Remove the system-board assembly. See “Removing a System-Board 
Assembly" on page 142. 
2  Remove the air baffle for 1U node. See “Removing the Air Baffle ” on 
page 144. 
3  Remove the expansion-card assembly. See “Removing the Expansion 
Card” on page 154. 
4  Remove the heat sink. See “Removing the Heat Sink” on page 145. 
5  Remove the memory modules. See “Removing the Memory Modules” 
on page 210. 
6  If installed, remove the SAS mezzanine card or 1GbE mezzanine card 
or 10GbE mezzanine card. See “Removing the LSI 2008 SAS 
Mezzanine Card” on page 193,”Removing the 1GbE Mezzanine Card” 
on page 197 and “Removing the 10GbE Mezzanine Card” on page 202. 
7  Disconnect all the cables from the system board. 
8  Remove the eight screws and then slide the system board. See Figure 3-
57 
9  Grasp the system board by the edges and lift the system board away 
from the system-board assembly. See Figure 3-57.
