Side labelling applicator
For application of a label to the side of a packages, fitted to the Signature labeller
Basic operation
The label is fed from the signature
labeller in the standard way onto
the applicator shoe.
Label is held on the shoe via a
vacuum created by the pneumatics
At the required time the double
acting air cylinder moves the shoe
to the package
When the shoe touches the
package, the spring loaded action
of the shoe pushes back to activate
a proximity sensor which returns
the air cylinder to its home position
Servicing & adjustments
Speed control movement of applicator arm
Remove the top cover over the applicator unit
(loosen 4 hex head screws)
The air cylinder has an inline restrictor at each end.
Adjust restrictor to obtain the required speed of
operation for forward and return movement
