Restoring a Settings Configuration
This function allows you to restore the unit’s factory default settings and
restores or recalls any saved configurations for all protocol processor
Receive or Transmit settings.
To restore a settings configuration:
1. Select from the common function buttons.
2. Select Restore This Test Set, and the Restore This Test Set
menu appears.
3. Select one of the following options:
Protocol Mode <desired Protocol Mode> Changes the Test
Unit to the selected Protocol Mode, but does not modify any of
the Transmit or Recieve settings.
Factory Defaults <desired Protocol Mode> Restores the Test
Unit to the default Transmit and Receive settings, and also
changes the Protocol Mode to the mode selected.
User File: Recalls any saved configurations for a protocol pro-
cessors Receive or Transmit settings. If this option is selected,
go to Step 4
4. From the File Browser window, select the name of the previously
saved settings configuration file to be restored.
5. Select OK. The settings configuration is restored.
Starting and Stopping a Test
Initiating and stopping a test is easily accomplished by using the Test
functionality for the selected protocol processor and common function
buttons.
Starting a Test
The Duration and Action After Duration function determine how long a
test runs and what activities occur at the end of the test.
To start a test:
1. Select the desired Protocol Processor tab.
