7. Select . The test starts and the Elapsed Time counter
resets to 0.
Stopping a Test
The Stop common function button stops the reporting of received data
and takes a snapshot of error, alarm, and event activity. When the Stop
button is selected, the following occurs:
All statistics logged and reported by the Performance Monitor-
ing function stop.
All alarm, error, and event statistics logged and reported by the
Results function stop.
All elapsed time and duration counters stop.
To stop a test before the test duration expires:
Select the common function button.
Restarting a Test
Select the common function button. The test and statistics clear
and the Elapsed Time counter restarts at zero.
Pausing and Resuming a Test
1. Select the desired Protocol Processor tab.
2. Select Test and choose Set 1. The Duration and Action After
Duration functions appear.
Print and Record Events
Note: This option only
appears on the NIC test
set’s touch screen when
Realtime Actions is
selected.
Enables real-time reporting. Any event
that occurs during a real-time test
automatically prints to a printer that is
attached to the NIC unit and prints to a
file (.evt). The test does not repeat.
