NOTE
Pressing the Enter key on your keyboard will delete the message.
To avoid this, select Multi Lines before starting to type the
message.
In addition, if you have a long message, select Multi Lines so that
you can use the Enter key to keep your message within the Input
Message window.
3. You can assign a priority level to the message (High Priority), or
you can require that the recipient respond to the message (Reply
Required). Another user will not see the Chat message unless
High Priority or Reply Required is selected.
4. Select Send.
Using the Security Features
IMPORTANT
The Security option is not available unless you have Admin privileges.
This function allows you to view the following security information
about system users:
User Name
Permissions
Read Only: Allows the user read-only privileges.
Read/Write: Allows the user to read and update information.
Calibrate: Allows the user read and write privileges and the
ability to perform calibration procedures on the test set.
Admin: Allows the user to perform network administrator
tasks such as calibrating, adding, deleting, and updating user
profiles.
Active: Displays “Yes” for users currently logged in to the test
set.
Current: Displays permissions of active users.
Default User: This column only appears on the local GUI and is
linked directly to the “User Login Required” setting on the Sys-
tem Misc screen. When User Login Required is not selected the
default user appears in the log in dialog box.
The Security function also enables a user with administrator privileges
to perform the following tasks:
