Specify an IP address
a. Select the Specify an IP address check box.
b. Select IP Address. The Enter IP Address keypad appears.
c. Enter the new IP address for the test set and select OK.
IP addresses 192.168.138.000 through
192.168.138.255 are reserved and must not be used. A
system conflict can occur if these IP addresses are
entered.
If you must use an IP address in the range of
192.168.x.x, then you must set the Subnet Address to
255.255.255.0.
d. Select Subnet Address. A keypad appears.
e. Enter the Subnet address and select OK.
f. Select Router. A keypad appears.
g. Enter the Router address and select OK.
h. Host Name and Domain Name settings only need to be entered
under special conditions.
i. Port Assignment. The Ethernet port assignment is automatically
enabled for SCPI (port 8090).
j. Select . The Reboot the Unit dialog box appears.
k. Select OK.
l. After all unsaved data is written to the disk, the test set restarts.
If the test set does not successfully reboot turn it off
manually by toggling the On/Off switch to Off and restarting
it.
Sending Email Alerts
Before using the email alert feature, check with your Network
Administrator to verify that your email account is set up to accept and
forward SMTP mail.
After setting the email alert options, the protocol tab for which the error/alarms
have been configured, must be selected, or you must be in All Tests mode.
Email alert messages will not be generated if these conditions are not met.
