5. Select a sound. The sound selection uses the WAV file’s name.
For example, chord.wav appears as Chord.
6. Select Test to hear the WAV file and determine if this is the sound
you want to associate with the alarm.
7. Select Apply. The Alarm Beep Definition window closes.
Turning Off All Alarm Sounds
1. Select Alarm Beeper Status.
2. Select Off.
Adding WAV Files to the Remote Control
Application
1. Make sure that the Remote Control Application is closed.
2. Place a copy of the WAV file into the Compat folder that you are
running the Remote NIC from.
To locate the Compat folder:
a. Open the Remote NIC (GalaxyNIC) directory. For example, the
default directory is C:\Program Files\GalaxyNIC.
b. Locate the Compat folder from which the Remote NIC is run-
ning. The folder name represents the Feature Set operating on the
NIC unit. For example, the Compat folder for Feature Set 6.2.33
appears in the GalaxyNIC directory as Compat600020033.
There can be more than one Compat folder in the GalaxyNIC
directory. To determine the correct folder, check the Feature
Set version operating on the NIC that you want to add the
WAV file to by selecting its System tab, choosing Misc, and
pointing to About this product. The Feature Set version is
located near the top of the About NIC dialog box.
3. After the WAV file has been added to the appropriate Compat
folder, open the Remote Control Application.
4. Select and choose . The User Preference
screen appears.
5. Select Alarm Beeper Status.
6. Select On or Maintenance. The Alarm Beep Definitions appear.
