The ICS-1000 has a minimum pressure limit of 0. The low pressure limit can
be raised from Chromeleon (in the Server Configuration or in the control
program). If the system pressure falls below the low pressure limit, the pump
stops and the “Pump under pressure” error message appears.
To troubleshoot:
1. Make sure the eluent reservoir is full.
2. Check for liquid leaks (see Section 4.2
).
3. Check that the waste valve is closed.
4. Prime the pump (see Section B.12
).
5. Restart the pump.
This error may be caused by an exhausted or dirty suppressor or by a
malfunction in the suppressor controller electronics.
To troubleshoot:
1. Follow the instructions in the suppressor manual to regenerate the
suppressor. Suppressor manuals are included on the Dionex
Reference Library CD-ROM (P/N 053891), located in the ICS-1000
Ship Kit (P/N 057905).
2. Follow the instructions in the suppressor manual to clean the
suppressor.
3. If a malfunction in the suppressor controller is suspected, contact
Dionex for assistance. The ICS-1000 electronics components cannot
be serviced by the user.
