DOM Roq® Smart Lock
Set Cylinder Length
When determining the cylinder length for the DOM Roq® locking cylinder, it is important to
clarify in advance how you want to attach your motor unit.
For the cylinder length on the outside, the same length can be selected as for your old cylin-
der (if the "old fitting" is to be retained), but on the inside (mounting for the cardan coupling),
it must be clarified in advance how the motor unit should be attached. It is possible to fix the
motor unit directly to the door leaf or to the existing door handle sets / rosettes. This affects
the internal length B of the cylinder.
The increments for the cylinder length are 5 mm. That means: You can only specify corre-
sponding lengths, e.g. 30, 35 mm or more. The minimum length is 20 mm.
DOM Roq® Fig. 05: Cylinder Length Without Inner Fitting
If the motor unit should be mounted directly on the door leaf, the locking cylinder may only
protrude a maximum of 4 mm from the door leaf on the inside.
If this is not possible, choose the inner length of the cylinder one step (5 mm) shorter.

Cylinder Length Without Inner Fitting
If the motor unit is to be mounted on an existing handle set (inside fitting remains) or rosette,
then there are two possibilities:
I You can see the fixing screws of the inside fittings, then the cylinder may protrude a
maximum of 4 mm from the fitting. If this is not possible, choose the inside
length of the cylinder one step (5 mm) shorter when ordering.
II Fixing screws of the inside fittings are not visible and usable, then the cylinder must
protrude a minimum of 4.5 mm to a maximum of 9 mm from the fitting.
