DOM Roq® Fig. 40: Long Plate Inside Without Visible Screw Connection
Attention! Damage of the door leaf
Pre-drilling and fixing with the sheet metal/wood screws ST 3.9 x length, or glu-
ing on the foam part can / will damage the door leaf. This always remains visible
after reverting to a normal cylinder!
Therefore, if you are not the owner of the door, you should obtain permission to
drill into it and / or to stick on it.
Otherwise, these fastening options are not available to you!
18. Carefully drill the previously marked screw connection points (additional fastening
points) (ø 2 mm). (J)
19. Assemble spacer sleeves according to dimension b + 2.5 mm and insert them into
the pre-punched holes of the foam part. (K)
20. Place the base plate on the cylinder, making sure that the inserted spacer sleeves do
not fall out. (L)
21. Secure the base plate to the cylinder with two M4 x12 screws. (M)
Note!
If you do not get the approval for drilling into the door leaf (additional fixing
points), points 14, 18 and 19 do not apply to you.
In this case, you can use the adhesive surface of the foam part towards the
door. However, damage can also occur here. In this case, a new painting of the
door may be sufficient.
Note! b+2.5 mm
Dimension b is the distance between the door leaf and the base plate (Inner di-
mension, Fig. 40). Add to this the recess of 2.5 mm in the base plate.
I.e.: The spacer or pieces you need to put there to support the base plate then
have the dimension b (distance between base plate and door leaf) summed
with the recess in the base plate 2.5 mm. The total dimension of the spacer(s)
is b + 2.5 mm.
(All sleeves have the length dimension indicated on the flat side, so they can be
combined from 6 mm in 1 mm steps to make up the corresponding total length).
