Batteryuidiscorrosiveanddangerousbecauseofitsexplosiveness
andtoxicity.Therefore,itshouldonlybehandledbyaskilledtechnician
whospecializesinbatteryuid.
8.Onlycertiedprofessionaltechniciansshouldrepairandmaintainengines.
9.Onlyappropriatetoolsshouldbeused.Ifthejawsofawrencharewornout,the
wrenchmightslipduringuse,causingsafetyaccidents.
10.Donotallowotherpersonstostayorpassunderanenginewhenliftingtheengine
withacrane.Beforeliftingtheengine,ensurethatthereisnoonearoundtheengine
andreserveenoughsafetyspace.
11.Beforeinspectingorreplacinganelectricalapparatus,disconnectthebatteryground
wirerst.Connectthebatterygroundwireaftercompletingallrequiredworkfor
checkingorreplacingtheelectricalapparatusinordertopreventashortcircuit.
12.Beforeperformingelectricweldingworks,turnoffengine,blockthepowersupplyto
theengine,andremovethewireharnessconnectorconnectedtotheenginecontrol
unit(ECU).
13.DoNOTgiveanyelectricormechanicalshocksorperformweldingworkonthe
electricalapparatusortheECU.
GeneralRepair
1.Waituntiltheengineisproperlycooleddownbeforestartingworksinceyoumayget
burnedbytheheatedengine.Beforeperformingfuellinework,checkthecommon
railpressureandenginetemperaturebyusingthefailurediagnosisdevice.
2.Disconnectthebatterygroundwiretopreventdamageofwiresandsensorscaused
byashortcircuit.
3.Engineoilandcoolantmaydamagepaint.Engineoilandcoolantshouldbestoredin
separatecontainersandmarkedforsafemanagement.
4.Storethedisassembledpartsinaspeciedspacetoavoiddamageorpollution.
5.Usespeciedandspecialtoolsforefcientandsaferepair.
6.Ifpartsneedtobereplaced,useonlygenuinepartsforreplacement.Using
unauthorizedorremanufacturedpartsmaycausecriticaldamageandfaultsinengine
performance.
7.Replacepartssuchascotterpins,gaskets,o-rings,sealrings,oilseals,andwashers
withnewonesduringrepairs.Reuseofpartsmaybethecauseofenginefaults
andenginemaynotoperateproperly.
