•Positionthetowvehicletoalignitshitchwiththepintleeyeorcouplerofthe
compressor.
•Engagetheparkingbrakeandchockthetiresofthetowvehicle.
•StandtothesideandensurepinisFULLYinserted(secure)intubeofjack.
•Crankjacktoseatpintleeyeorcouplerontohitch.Latchandlockhitch.Cross
safetychain(s)underdrawbar.Attachtovehicle.
•Foldjackhandledownandforward.SwingupjacktubeandFULLYinsertpinin
tube.
•Removetirechocks.
•Testbrakes,ifsoequipped.
•Testlights(running,stop,andturnsignals).
Alwaysraise(orremove)jackformaximumgroundclearancebefore
towing.
SettingUp
•Positionaslevelaspossible.Thedesignoftheseunitspermitsa15degree
sidewiselimitonout-of-leveloperation.
•Whentheunitistobeoperatedout-of-level,itisimportant:
•Tokeeptheenginecrankcaseoillevelnearthehighlevelmark(withtheunitlevel).
•Tohavethecompressoroillevelgaugeshownomorethanmid-scale.Donot
overlleithertheenginecrankcaseorthecompressorlubricatingoilsystem.
•Thesidedoorsmustbeclosedtomaintainacoolingairpathandtoavoid
recirculationhotair.
