Highpressureaircancausesevereinjuryordeathfromhotoilandying
parts.Alwaysrelievepressurebeforeremovingcaps,plugs,coversor
otherpartsfrompressurizedairsystem.
Thescavengelineoriginatesatthemanifoldandterminatesatthecompressorairendnear
theoillterelement.Anoricecheckvalveislocatedonthescavengetube.
Onceayearorevery1000hoursofoperation,whichevercomesrst,replacetheseparator
elementandcleanthescavengeorice/checkvalve.
NOTE:Excessiveoilcarry-overmaybecausedbyanoil-loggedseparatorelement.Donot
replaceelementwithoutrstperformingthefollowingmaintenanceprocedure:
1.Checkoillevel.Maintainasindicatedearlierinthissection.
2.Thoroughlycleanscavengeline,anyoriceandcheckvalve.
3.Assureminimumpressurevalve/oriceisoperational.
4.Rununitatratedoperatingpressurefor30to40minutestopermitelementtoclear
itself.
ExteriorFinishCare
Thisunitwaspaintedandheatcuredatthefactorywithahighquality,thermosetpolyester
powdercoating.Thefollowingcarewillensurethelongestpossiblelifefromthisnish.
1.Ifnecessarytoremovedust,pollen,etc.fromhousing,washwithwaterandsoapor
dishwashingliquiddetergent.Donotscrubwitharoughcloth,pad,etc.
2.Ifgreaseremovalisneeded,afastevaporatingalcoholorchlorinatedsolventcanbe
used.Note:Thismaycausesomedullingofthepaintnish.
3.Ifthepainthasfadedorchalked,theuseofacommercialgrade,non-abrasivecar
waxmaypartiallyrestorethecolorandgloss.
FieldRepairofTexturePaint
1.Thesheetmetalshouldbewashedandcleanofforeignmaterialandthenthoroughly
dried.
2.CleanandremoveallgreaseandwaxfromtheareatobepaintedusingDuponts
3900SCleanerpriortosanding.
3.Use320gritsandingpapertorepairanyscratchesordefectsnecessary.
4.Scuffsandtheentireareatobepaintedwitharedscotchbritepad.
5.WipetheareacleanusingDuponts3900S.
