Lubricationisanessentialpartofpreventivemaintenance,affectingtoagreatextentthe
usefullifeofthecompressor.Differentlubricantsareneededandsomecomponentsrequire
morefrequentlubricationthanothers.Therefore,itisimportantthattheinstructionsregarding
typesoflubricantsandthefrequencyoftheirapplicationbeexplicitlyfollowed.Periodic
lubricationofthemovingpartsreducestoaminimumthepossibilityofmechanicalfailures.
TheMaintenanceScheduleshowsthoseitemsrequiringregularserviceandtheintervalin
whichtheyshouldbeperformed.Aregularserviceprogramshouldbedevelopedtoinclude
allitemsanduids.Theseintervalsarebasedonaverageoperatingconditions.Intheevent
ofextremelysevere(hot,cold,dustyorwet)operatingconditions,morefrequentlubrication
thanspeciedmaybenecessary.
AllltersandlterelementsforairandcompressoroilmustbeobtainedthroughPortable
Powertoassurethepropersizeandltrationforthecompressor.
