2.Iftherechargealarmindicatorlampsuddenlyturnsonorblinksduringengine
operationandtheengineshutsdown,xthefaultoftheelectricapparatus.
3.Ifcolororodorofexhaustgasisunusualduringoperation,shutdowntheengine,
diagnosethecauseandxthefault.
4.Checktheenginestatusthroughthealarmindicatorlampandgaugesmountedon
theapparatusduringoperation.
EngineOilPressure
Iftheengineoilpressureisnotconsistentatidleordoesnotreachthereferencevaluewhile
theengineisoperatingathighspeed,immediatelyshutdowntheengineandcheckoil
levelandleakage.
CoolantTemperature
Operatinganenginewithtoolowcoolanttemperatureincreasesfuelconsumption,abrasion
ofthecylinderliner,andshortenstheengine'slifespan.
RevolutionsperMinute(rpm)
Intheelectroniccontrolengine,theenginecontrolunit(ECU)preventstheenginefrombeing
operatedattoohighrpmoverthespecicationstoprotecttheengine.ThememoryofECU
hasvariousfunctionswhichcannotbechangedbyoperators,suchasfuelowcontrol,
ignitiontimedelay,andblockingoffuelandignition.

PreventingCoolantfromFreezing
Whenonlywaterusedascoolantwithoutmixingwithantifreeze,corrosionintheengine,
degradationofcoolingefciency,andfreezingoftheengineinwintermayoccur.Ifthe
engineisnotoperatedforalongperiodduringcoldweatherorinareaswithcoldclimate,
fullydischargethecoolantfromtheengine.Freezingofcoolantleadstocriticaldamageto
theengine.Pleaseuseamixtureofcoolantwithantifreezeatrecommendedratiowhen
replacingorreplenishingthecoolant.Theantifreezepreventscoolantfromfreezing.
PreventingOvercoolingoftheEngine
Whentheengineiscooledbelowthenormaloperatingtemperature,thermalefciency
isloweredandfuelconsumptionaswellasabrasionofthecylinderlinermayincrease.
Therefore,theengineshouldbeoperatedwithinthenormaloperatingtemperature.Ifthe
enginehasbeensufcientlyoperated,butthetemperatureofcoolantremainsbelowthe
normaloperatingtemperature,checkthewatertemperaturecontrollerorotherpartsrelated
tothecooler.
EngineOil
Whenviscosityofengineoilincreasesduetoitslowtemperatureduringcoldweatherorin
areaswithcoldclimate,therpmmaynotbestableafterstartingtheengine.Topreventthis,
replaceoiltoengineoilforcoldweatherorareaswithcoldclimate.Whenreplacingengine
oil,useonlygenuineengineoilrecommendedbyDoosan.
