CheckingtheCoolant
Iftheradiatorcapisopenedtoexchangeorreplenishcoolantwhilethe
engineisoverheated,hotwaterwillspurtoutandmaycauseserious
burns.Ifitisabsolutelynecessarytoopentheradiatorcapwhilethe
engineisoverheated,wraptheradiatorcapwithaclothandslowlyopen
thecapintwostepsuntilthesteampressurehasbeenreleasedfromthe
inside.Afterthesteampressurehasbeencompletelyreleased,remove
theradiatorcap.
1.Makesurethattheengineandradiatorarecooled.
2.Checkthelevelinthesupplementarytank.
3.Ifthecoolantlevelindicatesbetweentheupperlimitandthelowerlimitonthe
supplementarytank,itmeansthatthecoolantvolumeisnormal.
4.Ifthereisinsufcientcoolant,replenishit.
5.Opentheradiatorcapandchecktheconditionofthecoolant.Ifthecoolantcap
iscontaminatedorinsufcient,measurethecoolantconcentration.Ifthecoolant
concentrationisoutsidethespeciedrange,exchangethecoolant.

Thecoolantconcentrationcanbemeasuredasfollows:
1.Iftheenginecoolanttemperatureiswithinarangeof10~55°C,drainthecoolant.
Whentakingoutasampleofcoolantfromthesupplementarytank,itis
difculttomeasurethepreciseconcentration.Alwaystakeoutsample
byopeningthedrainplugofcoolant.
2.Soakthetestsheetinthecoolantandremoveafter3~5seconds.Shakethesheet
toremovetheremainingcoolant.
3.Waitforabout45secondsuntilthetestsheetchangesitscolor.
