2 Maintenance instructions
2.1 General information
Before servicing, please read the information given in paragraaf 2.2 - ’Warnings’ of this Ser-
vice Manual.
2.1.1 Annual inspection
Inspect mains inlet, Equipotential connection and power cord for damages and insulation re-
sistance.
Safety inspection interval 1 years (STK in Germany only).
For a reliable and long life time we recommend a safety check every 12 months by an autho-
rized D.O.R.C. International service technician.
2.1.2 Introduction and applicability of this manual
This Service Manual provides the information required to maintain and repair the EVA. In or-
der to understand this Service Manual it is necessary to have a complete understanding of
the functions of the EVA. This information can be obtained from the Instruction Manual of
the EVA. Usually field service to the EVA is limited to safety inspections, logging software
alerts, upgrading software and exchanging complete modules.
2.1.3 Scope of the allowed maintenance
Depending on the capabilities of the service facility, some repairs may not be possible; e.g.
troubleshooting the main modules of the EVA without proper test equipment and qualified
personnel. In such cases the defect parts or the complete EVA should be send to D.O.R.C. In-
ternational.
