A warning indicates a potentially harmful situation to yourself or
others.
2.2.1 Electric shock hazard
The EVA contains high voltage circuits.
After performing any repair or calibration procedure,
please perform a final electrical safety check and leakage
current test.
Unplug the power cord before cleaning or servicing the
unit. Should the power cord or plug become cracked,
frayed, broken or otherwise damaged, it should be re-

Do not touch any exposed wiring or conductive surface, while the cover is off and the unit is

not perform any servicing except as specifically stated in the Instruction Manual.
Do not, under any circumstances, perform any testing or maintenance on medical instru-

equipment.
Interference produced when using the diathermy function may adversely influence the oper-

Failure of the diathermy function may result in an unintended increase of output power.
2.2.4 Safety procedures
This paragraph introduces a few elementary steps to follow when using the Laser Module.
Understanding of these instructions and compliance with them and procedures outlined in
ANSI Standard Z136.3 is required to prevent injury to personnel or damage to the instrument.
