Function name:
Loop Detection
Function description:
The switch will send out looping detection frame to detect the ports on the switch whether
they have looping traffic happen. When the switch port receives the looping detection
frame from itself, it means there is looping happen in the network. The looping ports will
be locked to avoid the looping storm causing all traffic be blocked.
Parameter description:
Port: User can set up the port (1~8) respectively to set loop
detection.
State: Set the port loop detection to Enable or Disable. When it is
enabled, the port will sent out looping detection frame and
detect if looping happens. When it is disabled, the port only
can detect if looping happens. Default: Disable.
Current Status: Show this port current status. Unlocked means this port there
is no looping happened. Locked means there is looping
happen in this port and causes the port be blocked.
Resume Action: You can use resume action to unlock the locked port when
you make sure the looping issue has been resolved. You also
can remove the locked port cable then reconnect the cable to
resume the locked port.
Action: Set the Action (; Enable) to start all ports loop detection
function on the switch.
