6.4.10 Single UPM Shutdown
To shut down a single UPM:
1. Tap the CONTROLS tab on the main menu navigation bar. The System Control screen is displayed.
2. Tap the MODULES CONTROLS tab on the secondary Control menu navigation bar. The UPM Select
screen is displayed.
3. On the UPM Select screen, select the UPM to shutdown. The UPM Control Screen is displayed.
4. Tap the SHUT DOWN MODULE button.
The UPM status indicates SHUTDOWN. The power module is turned off. The remaining UPMs continue to
supply the critical load.
Logic power remains on.
6.4.11 Single UPM Restart
To restart a single UPM from a shutdown state:
1. Tap the CONTROLS tab on the main menu navigation bar. The System Control screen is displayed.
2. Tap the MODULES CONTROLS tab on the secondary Control menu navigation bar. The UPM Select
screen is displayed.
3. On the UPM Select screen, select the UPM to start. The UPM Control Screen is displayed.
4. Tap the START MODULE button.
The UPM rectifier and inverter turn on. When the inverter reaches full voltage, the UPS is ready to transfer
to the Double Conversion mode and supply the critical load.
6.4.12 Single UPS Shutdown
To Shutdown a single UPS:
To shut down a single UPS:
1. Open the MOB for the UPS being shut down.
2. On the UPS being shut down, tap the CONTROLS tab on the main menu navigation bar. The System
Control screen is displayed.
3. Tap the GO TO BYPASS button.
The UPS being shut down transfers to Bypass mode. The BYPASS status indicator is illuminated. The
power module remains on.
4. Tap the CONTROLS tab on the main menu navigation bar. The System Control screen is displayed.
5. Tap the MODULES CONTROLS tab on the secondary Control menu navigation bar. The UPM Select
screen is displayed.
6. On the UPM Select screen, select UPM 1. The UPM Control Screen is displayed.
7. Tap the SHUT DOWN MODULE button.
The UPM status indicates SHUTDOWN. The input, output, and battery switchgear open, and the power
module is turned off.
Logic power remains on.
NOTE To shut down a single UPS, MOBs with dual auxiliary contacts must be installed
and connected according to the procedure in paragraph 4.11.6.
