Disassembly
1. Using the Pocket bearing puller E005003,
remove the front bearing cone from mainshaft.
2. Remove the 3rd/4th synchronizer hub retaining
snap ring.
3. Place mainshaft in the press, using either 2nd or
4th speed gear as a base.
4. Press mainshaft through and remove the set of
components up to the rear bearing cone.
WARNING! Be careful NOT to use mainshaft
ange as a pressing base when using the 3rd
speed gear.
5. Turn the mainshaft over in the press and use the
3rd speed gear as a base.
6. Press mainshaft and remove the 3rd/4th
synchronizer assembly, 3rd speed gear and the
needle bearing.

1. Install the 2nd speed gear needle bearing.
2. Install the 2nd speed gear.
