Ground contact currents in frequency inverters are greater
than 3.5 mA (AC). According to product standard IEC/EN
61800-5-1, an additional equipment grounding
conductor must be connected, or the cross-section of the
equipment grounding conductor must be at least 10 mm
2
.

The components in the frequency inverter's power section
remain energized up to five (5) minutes after the supply
voltage has been switched off (intermediate circuit
capacitor discharging time).
