7.2.3 SIOX–Terminalassignmentofthe230VACdigitalinputs
There are 12 floating digital inputs (230 V AC) available per SIOX extension module for system monitoring and/
or as measuring points ( meter inputs).
Note: The digital inputs of the SIOX extension module in the example are used as follows:
All signals have the same outer conductor (L).
A2..H2 are connected to N.
The first two digital inputs 1(A1/A2) and 2 (B1/B2) are used for system monitoring.
A signal of 24 V AC/DC is detected at the last digital input 12 via a coupling relay.
DANGER
Warning about dangerous electrical voltage! Danger to life - Danger of electric shock!
BEFORE connecting and disconnecting, it must be checked that surrounding connections are in a
de-energised state!
Overvoltage category II / contamination degree 2: All connections of the device provided for
operation with 230 V AC supply voltage must be wired with the same outer conductor (L). 400 V
AC between neighbouring connection terminals is not permitted!
All digital inputs on the expansion modules are factory-set to 230 V AC.
Wiring of the digital inputs: The N conductor must be applied at a terminal level (A2..L2 / 50..72)!
Practical tip: Signals of 24 V AC/DC must be detected via coupling relays. For pulse counters with
pulse measuring or transistor interface the use of SSR coupling relays is required, for further details
see chapter SIOX - connection of energy, gas, water and event meters.
ATTENTION
Detailed safety instructions and information for the configuration of the jumpers for the digital inputs are
provided in chapter SIOX - Konfiguration der Jumper.
