PIM Multicast Routing
This section describes the PIM commands used for IPv4 and IPv6. Note that PIM can
run on an IPv4 network and PIM6 on an IPv6 network simultaneously. Also note
that Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) is used for IPv4 networks and
Multicast Listener Discovery (MLD) for IPv6 networks.
IPv4 PIM Commands This section describes commands used to configure IPv4 PIM-DM and PIM-SM
dynamic multicast routing on the switch.

ip pim Enables PIM-DM or PIM-SM on the specified interface IC
ip pim hello-holdtime Sets the time to wait for hello messages from a
neighboring PIM router before declaring it dead

ip pim join-prune-holdtime Configures the hold time for the prune state IC
ip pim lan-prune-delay Informs downstream routers of the delay before it prunes a
flow after receiving a prune request
