Configuring IP Subnet VLANs

â—† When an untagged frame is received by a port, the source IP address is checked
against the IP subnet-to-VLAN mapping table, and if an entry is found, the
corresponding VLAN ID is assigned to the frame. If no mapping is found, the
PVID of the receiving port is assigned to the frame.
â—† The IP subnet cannot be a broadcast or multicast IP address.
â—† When MAC-based, IP subnet-based, or protocol-based VLANs are supported
concurrently, priority is applied in this sequence, and then port-based VLANs
last.
Example
The following example assigns traffic for the subnet 192.168.12.192, mask
255.255.255.224, to VLAN 4.
Console(config)#subnet-vlan subnet 192.168.12.192 255.255.255.224 vlan 4

show subnet-vlan This command displays IP Subnet VLAN assignments.

â—† The last matched entry is used if more than one entry can be matched.
Example
The following example displays all configured IP subnet-based VLANs.
