Check seat belts for latching
mechanism operation, cuts in webbing,
damage to seat belt tabs & buckles and
stains on the webbing.
u
Check fastener torque two times a
month or every time that the unit is in
for other repairs.
REMOVING & REINSTALLING
PASSENGER SEATS
Passenger seats, with the exception of
flip and fold away seats, are secured to
tracks in the bus floor and along the
bus walls.
u
To remove passenger seats, loosen
the bolts in the seat frame that attach
to the floor track.
u
Loosen the bolts in the seat frame
that attach to the wall track.
u
Remove seat for desired
maintenance.
u
Re-install the seat and secure the
seat in the designated floor plan
position.
u
Ensure that the bolts, washers, and
buts and/or nut bars are correctly
oriented and assembled with the floor
and wall track, and tighten to the
proper lb-ft torque value.
u Ensure all hardware that had been
removed has been reinstalled.
uEnsure that any gussets used in the
Aisle Facing Seat Mounting that may
be removed are installed as originally
received from the Vehicle OEM.
uFlip and/or Fold-away Passenger
Seats are bolted through the floor and
are secured on the underside of the
vehicle. Fold-away seats may also be
secured to the wall track.
uTo remove flip and/or fold-away seats.
Loosen the bolts in the seat frame that
attached through the floor. Loosen the
bolts in the seat frame that attach to
the wall track, as applicable.
uRemove seat for desired
maintenance.
uRe-install the seat and secure the
seat in the designated floor plan
position.
uEnsure all hardware that had been
removed has been reinstalled.
uEnsure that the bolts, washers, and
nuts and/or nut bars are correctly
oriented and assembled with the floor
and/or wall track correctly, and tigten
to the proper lb-ft torque value.

Check seat securement to the
vehicle before allowing passengers to
occupy the seats.
Each seat style and position has a specific
engineered bolt torque requirement, call
Technical Support for proper torque settings.
