TO REPAIR MINOR SURFACE
CRACKS:
1. Rough sand and clean the damaged
area.
2. Apply gel coat.
3. Allow the gel coat to dry.
4. Sand the repaired area until it is
smooth to the touch.
5. Buff repaired area to a gloss finish.
For detailed repair instructions, refer to the
CCP Polycor®/Stypol® paint and gel coat repair
instructions.
TO REPAIR LARGER
SURFACE CRACKS:
1. Remove loose and broken fragments
from the damaged area. Use a grinder
or a power sander with medium grade
sandpaper to prepare a solid base for
body filler.
2. Apply filler as directed by the
manufacturer, smoothing it as you fill.
3. After the filler hardens, power sand
with a fine grade paper and repaint or
gel coat.
Wide cracks should be repaired by an
authorized body shop. Complete body panels
including front and rear caps are available for
purchase through your local Advantage Dealer.
When repairs are complete, it is
necessary to refinish the repaired area
to match the original finish. Consult
with your local Advantage Dealer for
appropriate finish instructions and
materials.
When refinishing is complete, use of a
rubbing compound will help blend the
repaired area with the existing finish.
