07 INTERIOR FIXTURES
WALLS & CEILING
u
Interior wall panels and fiberglass
headliner should be cleaned every
week with a mild soap and water solu-
tion. Foam type cleaners and many
plastic and vinyl cleaners also work
well to remove any marks or stains
from walls.
u
Vacuum fabric covered headliners to
remove surface dirt as needed.
u
Remove stains using a soap and
water solution or a commercial stain
remover that is safe for fabrics. Follow
manufacturer`s directions when using
commercial cleaners.
u
Dry off damp surfaces as soon as
possible to remove excess liquid.
STANCHIONS
Stanchions are load-bearing structural
components that also provide passen-
gers a railing to hold when entering or
exiting the bus.
Standard stanchions are located inside
the front entry door of the bus on
either side of the front entry stepwell
and directly behind the driver’s seat.
STANCHION MAINTENANCE
u
Stanchions are used by passen-
gers repeatedly to get on and off the
bus, they should be checked daily for
secure attachment.
u
Inspect the stanchion screws at all
attachment points. If loose they may
cause the stanchion to rattle. Loose
screws should be re-tightened as
needed, to prevent undo wear.
Stanchions provide structural support to the
bus. Do not remove stanchions. When servicing,
call your dealer prior to any disassembly.
MODESTY PANELS
Modesty panels are provided for
passenger privacy and protection.
Standard modesty panels are attached
to the stanchions at the front of the
passenger area and are either solid
panels or covered with material that
coordinates with the bus wall color. Do
not remove modesty panels as they are
also a safety device.
